Humility is not thinking less of yourself,
It’s thinking about yourself less...

Curly at work

Hello, my name is Jaime Martinez. My artist/street name is "Curly". You'll also hear people call me Jimmy (the gringos) Curly-Curl (the brothers), Curly Sue (the haters), and El Colocho (the paisas).

In 2005, i began a career as a custom automotive pinstriper. I currently have expanded my skill set to include gold leaf work, lowrider style graphics, and graphic design.

I have developed a niche market in the custom car scene of Southern California. This includes "lowrider cars", big rim "DUB" vehicles, and custom Harley motorcycles. I work out of a small workshop in the city of  Paramount, located within the greater Los Angeles area.

Together with a small staff and a network of custom autobody paint shops, we complete  dozens of custom projects a year. We also do a variety of "one off" projects that have little to do with automobiles. No request is too small and many are too big. I refer many projects to other shops or artists.

Educating is our primary task. Most customers have little insight into the proper steps of painting or selecting artwork. We are happy to give all options and instruct you properly so you can make a selection that you are happy today, and in the future. For customers that handle their own projects, we will be happy to participate on a partial basis.

Our skill set is tailored custom projects, but we are open to production projects. The bulk of our work is for local body shops or directly with the car owners. On occasion though, out of state or international customers need help. We are open 6 days a week for visitors that would like to view active projects in progress.

Please browse my photo gallery to become familiar with what we specialize in. The pictures are of the most common request and do not represent everything we can do. You can also contact me if you have any comments or questions, thanks!
